I-94表格是美国海关及边境管理局(CBP)用于记录外国公民出入境信息的文件，其内容包括：记录编号、出入境时间、持有签证种类、当前访问的最长停留期限，及入境者的一些基本个人信息。由于I-94表格由海关工作人员手动填写并录入系统，因此有可能出现信息遗漏或出错的情况。

一旦入境人员发现自己I-94表格上的信息错误，其可登录CBP网站查找其入境口岸(POE)所对应的延后审查办公室的地点及联系方式。入境者可通过电子邮件与相应口岸的延后审查办公室取得联系，随后向CBP提供必要文件，来更正I-94上的错误信息。
除上述方式之外，美国海关和边境保护局(CBP)推出了一个新的门户网站，允许入境人员在线提交I-94记录更正请求。入境者可登录CBP信息中心(information center)网站：在下拉菜单中选择I-94更正请求，并描述具体的问题，提供相应的个人信息和材料并提交。
在这里需特别提醒各位入境者注意的是，入境后应及时核实I-94所示的停留截止日期是否与海关印章上一致，且符合签证类别所允许的期限，避免可能出现的逾期滞留给未来入境或身份办理带来麻烦。I-94所示截止日期才是入境者在美国合法停留的最终期限。
